Gainesville Tire Feeds the Grid!:
Pure Energy installed a 25.2 KW system (144 Sharp solar panels) on Gainesville Tire as part of the Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) Program from GRU. This syste was one of the first FIT Systems in the United States.
Largest Solar installation in the history of Gainesville!:
Phase One: in 2007, Pure Energy installed a 25.2 KW solar system (126 Sanyo solar panels!) near downtown Gainesville. This system was the first commercial job of it's kind in our area. Pure Energy is proud to have been asked to install this historic solar energy system.
Phase Two: Since the first install of solar panels, Pure Energy Solar has installed an additional 50 KW (over 288 more Solar Panels) at the same location.

Due to the tree cover on the home, the home owner and Pure Energy Solar decided a ground mounted system was the best way to reach maximum efficiency for the solar panels. Ground Mounts are an effective way to get the best performance out of your solar panels if you have the space.
Grid Tie, Pole Mount Solar System with Battery Back Up = Energy Independence:
This 2.8 KW solar array was installed with a battery back up system. With a battery bank and a grid tied inverter, this solar system creates and stores energy. It is designed to contribute to the power needs of the home under normal conditions and keep the power on in case of a blackout. Due to the remote location and long outages caused by storms, the homeowner wanted this system to keep the vital systems of the home going in the event of extended power outages.
