Residential Installations:
Here are some photos of residential solar photovoltaic (PV)systems around Florida installed by Pure Energy Solar. Each installation is customized to the location and is unique due to our efforts to maximize the efficiency of each system.
A 75% reduction in the electric bill:
Pure Energy installed this 5.2 KW system for a client whose goal was to reduce their electric bill. To achieve maximum efficiency, the panel were installed in the best solar window possible, with the optimal tilt. The end result was a 75% reduction in their electric bill.
One of the FIRST Feed in Tariff systems in the USA:
In March of 2009, Gainesville, Florida became the first place in the United States to adopt a Feed-in-Tariff program. This program set the rate customers receive payments from GRU for 20 years. This is one of the first systems to be installed under that program and we were honored to be a part of it.
Difficult roofs are no problem:
Pure Solar Energy makes it look right everytime! Regardless of residential or commercial solar installation, Pure Energy Solar has the expertise and experience to optimise your next solar installation. Designs are selected to make the most out of the solar array, while making sure the aesthetic integrety was at its best.
A perfect Solar Window:
Pure Energy Solar installed this 4.2 KW system in Gainesville recently. This is a perfect example of a desirable "solar window" to maximize the efficiency in your solar array.
Rack Options - Residential Solar:
This is a 6 KW solar electric system installed using ballasted system on the flat section of the roof and tilt up racking on the steeper pitch.
The PV Pergola:
A custom solar design and turnkey installation. The homeowner did not have a good solar window on the home, so Pure Energy Solar worked with local architect, Josh Shatkin, to design and build a custom structure to take full advantage of the best solar window on the property. The openness of the PV Pergola also keeps the solar panels cool, which increases the efficiency of the solar panels. To read more about the PV Pergola, please click here. Pure Energy Solar took care of every aspect of this installation, part of our turnkey solar service.
Solar Install with 120 mph Wind Loads:
5.6 KW of Solar Panels at a residential install in Citrus County. This area of Florida has a 120 mph wind load requirement. The solar panel installation needed extra permit and inspection information, which was all covered in Pure Energy Solar's turnkey solar service.
Optimized Solar:
In this installation, the slope of the roof does not face South, which is needed to get the best performance out of the solar panels. The solar panels were tilted to the south to maximize efficiency.
Home Energy Makeover:
In 2008, Pure Energy Solar, along with Gainesville Regional Utilities and WCJB TV 20, gave-away a Home Energy Makeover to one lucky Gainesville family. This makeover included energy conservation upgrades and a photovoltaic system, complete with solar panels, inverter, and rails, all installed by Pure Energy Solar.
Got Shade? Pure Energy Solar has a Solar Solution:
The "Wall of Power" is a 5 KW solar system. Due to the tree cover on the home, the home owner and Pure Energy Solar decided a ground mounted system was the best way to reach maximum efficiency for the solar panels. Ground Mounts are an effective way to get the best performance out of your solar panels if you have the space. If you are interested in Gainesville Regional Utilite's Feed-in-Tariff Program, you need to be aware that Ground Mounts qualify for a different kWh price than Roof Mounted systems.
Grid Tie, Pole Mount Solar System with Battery Back Up = Energy Independence:
This 2.8 KW solar array was installed with a battery back up system. With a battery bank and a grid tied inverter, this solar system creates and stores energy. It is designed to contribute to the power needs of the home under normal conditions and keep the power on in case of a blackout. Due to the remote location and long outages caused by storms, the homeowner wanted this system to keep the vital systems of the home going in the event of extended power outages.
